少し前の話になりますが、

2025年6月18日、佐世保北中学校および佐世保北高等学校の「総合的な探究の時間」

において、出前講座を行いました。私は2021年より佐世保市医師会

および佐世保北中・北高の依頼を受け、主に医師を目指す中高生を対象に

した講義を行ってきました。今回は、「今求められる医師像と多様な働き方」

のタイトルで、咽頭診察の実習も取り入れています。

　実は現在、佐世保市における恒久的な医師不足は深刻な状況であり、救急体制の維持が

困難となっています。また、これまで地域医療を支えてきた先生方の高齢化が進み、

将来的には診療所の2割から7割が閉院するという統計もあり、危機的な状況です。

　私はこれまでの経験を活かし、今後も医師の魅力や多様な働き方について、

将来を担う学生たちに伝えていければと思っています。

On June 18, 2025, I delivered a lecture during the “Comprehensive Inquiry Period” at Sasebo Kita Junior High School and Sasebo Kita High School.

Since 2021, I have been giving lectures at the request of the Sasebo City Medical Association and Sasebo Kita Junior High and High School, primarily for junior and high school students aspiring to become doctors. This time, the lecture was titled “The Ideal Doctor and Diverse Work Styles” and included practical training in pharyngeal examinations.

In fact, Sasebo City is currently experiencing a serious, permanent shortage of doctors, making it difficult to maintain its emergency system. In addition, the doctors who have supported local medical care are aging, and statistics suggest that 20% to 70% of clinics will close in the future, creating a critical situation.

I hope to continue using my experience to convey the appeal of being a doctor and the diverse work styles to students who will lead the future.
